This position is responsible for the initiation of prescribed respiratory therapy in the home and office such as set ups of CPAP and Home Oxygen, assessments, education, documentation, and follow-up to ensure equipment performance and client compliance. 1-3 years experience; Ventilators; CPAP/BiPap; Oxygen delivery systems.
Work with products and services to referral sources, including educational in-services to medical/healthcare communities is an integral part of the job.
Prior homecare and sales experience is an asset. The applicant should possess excellent organizing, planning, co-coordinating, training, business acumen, computer skills and inter-personal skills.
Applicant is to be results oriented and have the ability to work independently. The candidate should be customer focused, organized, and have the ability to set priorities and follow through on tasks. A commitment to customer service, safety, and a clean driving record is a must.
Education / Training / Experience
â€¢ Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (2-3 years full time including clinical internship)
â€¢ Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care credentialing exam
â€¢ Membership with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists
â€¢ Membership with the British Columbia Society of Respiratory Therapists
â€¢ Current Cardiopulmonary (Level C)
*Knowledge of sleep therapy preferred.
Competitive wage will be based on previous experience
