Encaustic Workshop

Encaustic is a luminous medium that is made up of molten beeswax, pigment and damar resin. In this workshop we will focus on different encaustic techniques, such as melting and fusing, intarsia, working with paper, and creating texture, which students will have a 4”x6” wood panel to practice on. The students will also be supplied with an 8” x 10” panel to create their own piece using techniques that they have learned.
